BOSTON, August 15, 2017 – MEGA International is introducing the latest version of its HOPEX Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) solution. It will provide military and intelligence organizations with new capabilities to apply DoDAF to IT and agency transformation and management.
MEGA has integrated HOPEX DoDAF with HOPEX IT Portfolio Management to boost IT efficiency by giving federal agencies more capabilities to assess and streamline IT investments.
HOPEX IT Portfolio Management helps organizations develop resource-rich, cost-effective IT systems that eliminate costly, obsolete technologies and redundancies. The solution helps them evaluate the value, costs, risks and performance of each IT asset and has been instrumental in empowering leading organizations to jump-start successful programs to modernize IT resources.
“HOPEX DoDAF can help military organizations acquire and retire technologies at the right time, freeing up budgets for the most advanced and innovative technologies, an essential capability in today’s complex world,” explained Lucio de Risi, CEO, MEGA. “By using a single repository to record and reuse information from both HOPEX solutions, users can be confident that they have a ‘single source of truth’ about all IT resources and, at the same time, meet federal enterprise architecture DoDAF requirements.”
MEGA’s solution helps DoD agencies, and the businesses that work with them, identify and deploy ways to improve management of the typically large and complex system architectures found in today’s defense technologies. This allows defense and intelligence agencies to effectively meet new and changing missions.
With the new solution, enterprise architects can produce DoDAF 2 architecture with the reporting, analytics, and extended visibility into risks that are available through the HOPEX platform. HOPEX DoDAF is particularly useful to:
- adapt the DoDAF framework to specific project requirements
- facilitate information tracking and traceability
- provide complete impact analyses
- conduct validation checks to ensure consistency across models
“The ever-changing DoD environment means that federal agencies must be at the forefront of defense, intelligence and security initiatives, and be able to develop and deploy new capabilities faster,” continued de Risi. “Agencies require more sophisticated tools every year to achieve their goals. Every improvement to enterprise architecture frameworks, and the solutions that support them, helps the government better manage its resources.”
HOPEX DoDAF supports DoDAF 2.02.
