SOA Governance Summit
SAS Radisson Royal, Copenhagen, Denmark, October 2, 2007
London – October 1, 2007 – For immediate release:
MEGA International, a global leader in enterprise architecture (EA), business process analysis (BPA), and operational risk management (ORM) solutions, announces it will be participating in a major, one-day conference on service-oriented architecture (SOA) in Copenhagen on October 2, 2007.
The event is being organised by Software AG, a world-leading supplier in mission-critical software infrastructure solutions based on widely accepted open standards. MEGA is closely associated with the company as a partner in the CentraSite Community, a SOA guidance initiative founded by Software AG and Fujitsu.
Entitled the SOA Governance Summit 2007 the conference is designed to help public and private sector organisations adopt SOA programmes rapidly and efficiently through best practice planning, design and implementation.
Jean-Marie Zirano, MEGA’s Vice President for Alliances and Analyst Relations, will be one of nearly twenty widely recognised experts offering their views and ideas on the subject. His topic will be how to use business process analysis (BPA) and enterprise architecture to establish efficient SOA governance.
Zirano 's presentation will be delivered in the global partner session. The session will explain to delegates how to combine tools and approaches to deliver SOA governance. The particular focus will be using enterprise architecture to develop a structured vision and make it work over the long term.
“It’s hard to govern if the factors that need to be governed can’t be seen,” said MEGA’s Zirano. “To achieve effective SOA governance a clear view is needed of the business, its processes, and all its resources including people and supporting IT systems. That view – corporate, departmental, and individual - also has to balance to best effect an organisation’s business goals, operating requirements, and metrics."
“Specialist and proven tools and methodologies are needed to do that, which is where the right EA, BPA and related solutions come in, all supported by the right guidance. This conference offers that information,” he said.
MEGA’s membership of the CentraSite Community
Earlier this year MEGA International became a partner and strategic sponsor of the CentraSite Community, founded by Software AG and Fujitsu. Firstly, the initiative aims to unite sponsor partners to deliver standards-based, interoperable SOA solutions; and second provides enterprise-scale customers with a single point of reference for SOA best practices and the latest industry information. Interactive communication is achieved by leveraging social media tools such as discussion forums, blogs, wikis and RSS feeds.
Through its participation in the CentraSite Community, MEGA International can help companies successfully design, implement, manage, and govern a service-oriented architecture (SOA). The MEGA Modeling Suite – the latest version was released on September 26, 2007 - lets companies analyse and plan their business processes. It provides a multi-layer view of an organisation’s assets including business strategy, operational and IT requirements, IT systems and service specifications.
MEGA’s modelling solution helps business analysts and IT architects understand the effects of process change before implementation. As a result they can reduce risk, save costs and avoid delays, and best align IT with the real needs of the public or private sector organisation.
With the advantage of the CentraSite Community, Software AG and MEGA can help customers shorten the time between business process design and implementation by automating the translation of high-level process analysis into specific business process management (BPM) steps.
