RAYNHAM, Mass., February 11, 2008 – MEGA International today announced that it has opened a subsidiary in Mexico to serve companies in Latin America. This is another step in the company’s continuing international expansion.

MEGA International has worked with Latin American customers for ten years through PERSYS, its partner in Monterrey, Mexico. The Latin American market for enterprise architecture (EA), business process analysis (BPA), and governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) solutions has emerged as a growing market in recent years.

“Our customer base in Latin America has grown by 40 percent in the past two years. In order to meet this increasing demand, we need to serve the market locally and directly,” explained Lucio de Risi, president and CEO of MEGA International.

Eduardo Rodriguez Garcia, who significantly grew the EA and BPA practice of PERSYS, has been named to establish and direct MEGA Latin America, the new subsidiary.

Latin American companies in Columbia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Panama, Puerto Rico, and Venezuela are already using MEGA International solutions. Customers include AT&T, Axtel, Banco General (Panamá), British American Tobacco México, Nextel, Nissan, and Vitro.

“The MEGA International expertise in BPA and IT alignment gives us the ability to understand, discover, align, and control information at the enterprise level, which was exactly the need we needed to fulfill,” explained Benigno Montemayor Fernandez at Vitro, a $2.4 billion producer of glass in nine countries, and based in Mexico. “By standardizing business process modeling and providing reliable and highly available information, we are able to conduct more in-depth analysis and contributing to improved decision making at all levels.”

Current MEGA International customers in Latin America will be supported by the new subsidiary. PERSYS will continue as a separate company and as a MEGA International business partner. MEGA International Latin America will continue to work with other Latin American business partners.

MEGA International currently has offices in the US, UK, Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, and Japan, and has several business partners in Europe, Asia, Australia, the Middle East, and Africa. US-based clients include DirecTV, Enterprise Rent-a-Car, Morgan Stanley, NASA, Nissan, Wyeth, and the US Departments of Homeland Security and Transportation.
