MEGA Named a Leader in Business Process Analysis Tools

Magic Quadrant research evaluates vendor solutions for business architecture, transformation, and improvement

LONDON, January 9, 2012 – MEGA, noted industry leader in business process analysis, enterprise architecture, and governance, risk, and compliance solutions, was positioned by Gartner, Inc. as a leader in the Magic Quadrant for Business Process Analysis Tools, published December 12, 2011.

Business process analysis (BPA) tools are used to analyze business processes, conduct process modeling, and design process workflow. They are critical in optimizing and streamlining an organization and are often used in conjunction with enterprise architecture (EA) and business process management (BPM) tools. Because business processes are so closely linked with IT architecture and risk and control management, MEGA has integrated BPA, EA, and governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) in a single solution, the MEGA Suite.

Process modeling as part of BPA is becoming a starting point for a growing number of BPM and compliance projects, and helps avoid the rush to execution that often results in poor BPM ROI or failure,” said the report.

About the connection to the EA tool market, the Gartner report said, “Therefore, BPA tool vendors that provide complementary capabilities in these areas receive some additional credit in the BPA Tools Magic Quadrant for having a wider breadth of solutions.”

We believe that MEGA has a unique market-leading position because we integrate BPA with EA and GRC, while other companies align BPA with BPM, or are just pure BPA players,” explained Lucio de Risi, CEO, MEGA. “MEGA’s vision and holistic integration allows enterprises to have a single solution that increases the productivity of individuals, such as business architects, BP analysts, IT architects, and risk managers, as well as groups in business and IT departments.”

The MEGA Suite is a comprehensive solution that helps executives understand how people and processes deliver value and how quality, efficiency, cost control, and services can be improved. For more than 20 years, customers have used MEGA’s BPA solution to gain a clear understanding of the way the organization runs, from customer value chains and operational procedures to automated workflows.

By sharing and coordinating all corporate information within the enterprise in a single repository, the MEGA Suite helps break down information silos and barriers that have historically hindered expedited decision-making.

Organizations use BPA to depict and improve their business processes, link them to strategic objectives and the business architecture, then control and assess that they are executed according to compliance regulations and risk constraints. The MEGA Suite allows them to do this with a united solution, with the result being optimized resources and operational excellence,” continued de Risi.

There were 13 companies evaluated in this research report and named as leaders, visionaries, niche players or challengers.  Gartner used specific criteria and weightings to determine the ability of vendors to execute and completeness of vision.
