MEGA solution among 17 evaluated by analyst firm
BOSTON, April 28, 2011 – The MEGA Suite was included in a Gartner, Inc. research study, “Assessment of Enterprise Architecture Tool Capabilities”, published March 31, 2011 by Julie Short and Chris Wilson.
MEGA, long cited as an industry leader in enterprise architecture (EA), was among 17 EA vendors evaluated by Gartner on the following eight critical capabilities.
• Repository/Metamodel
• Modeling
• Decision Analysis
• Presentation
• Administration
• Configurability
• Frameworks and Standards
• Usability
The report, available here on the MEGA Web site, provides enterprise architects with a comparative analysis of the capabilities of EA tools. The tools in this report were selected for assessment if, among other criteria, they demonstrated the first use case required for this study during the evaluation for the “Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Architecture Tools, October 28, 2010”.
“We believe this type of report helps enterprises determine the best choice for an EA solution,” noted Lucio de Risi, CEO, MEGA. “Our customers seek to improve decision-making and deliver value through EA. That’s why we continually invest in the next generation of tools.”
The MEGA Suite provides a complete view of an organization’s processes and technology resources. It helps companies adapt to market changes and reduce unknowns, delays, and costs. It is one of the few tools providing EA, business process analysis (BPA) and governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) capabilities.
MEGA has been cited in numerous reports on EA, BPA, and GRC tools by several leading analyst firms. It was positioned by Gartner as a leader in the “Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Architecture Tools, October 28, 2010” and “Magic Quadrant for Business Process Analysis Tools, February 22, 2010”. MEGA was cited as a leader in the most recent EA report from Forrester, “The Forrester Wave™; Enterprise Architecture Management Suites, Q2 2011”.
